Wow...

I've been gone for... well, a long time. Life happens and this had to take a back seat.

The reason I logged in was that I saw this in my iGoogle today and it made me think of this place since Al basically summed up my design philosophy.

Then I opened this place up for the first time in months and it is a MESS! 

Header's gone... design is all wonky... general disarray.

Apparently blogger.com has been playing around and I need to get this place into shape.

All my logos and stuff are on my other PC, so that'll have to wait til tonight.

Ugghhh....

When it rains, it pours.

Not going to go into the gritty details right now. I'll post pics later.

Suffice to say I hope to get this back on track shortly.

Now you know why no updates.

Demanding much?

This isn't the post that I was intending to make today, but I have to now. 

I was just trying to cancel my membership with Audible.com and was going through the process. They did the standard begging me to stay routine, which is fine. 

Then I got down to the bottom and found this...

The "Select a Reason" field is REQUIRED. This is rather presumptuous of them, don't you think? If I want to give you a reason, fine. But don't DEMAND that I give you one. It's like breaking up with your significant other- sometimes it's just over. Don't make me lie to you as to why.

Another week...

Well, another week has passed with no updates.

For once, it's not for lack of topics or time but instead is simply lack of motivation.

Work has been.... interesting, so when I get home I have no interest in thinking more about UX.

When I get home today I'll do one of the posts I've got in the queue.

New Glasses- The Follow-Up

As promised in my post  http://redpaintui.blogspot.com/2012/03/just-ordered-new-glasses.html. this is the follow-up. 

I received my new glasses via Fed Ex yesterday, well within the stated time frame. The frames are nice and don't feel "cheap" and the lenses seem to be correct per my prescription.  They came packaged in a hard shell glasses case and included a very clever little screwdriver which I may end up doing a post about soon if I get stuck for a topic. 

All in all, a satisfactory experience. 

Now if they could just add a few more images to their "Try On View" they'd be all set.
